Real Estate Inspections (REI) provides Certified Stucco Inspections and Stucco Moisture Testing and Moisture Intrusion Detection Inspections on homes and buildings clad with hardcoat stucco and EIFS (Exterior Insulating Finish Systems), Adhered Concrete Stone Veneer, and other types of building cladding systems.
REI is certified by the Moisture Warranty Corporation. We perform our inspections in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the Exterior Design Institute (EDI) and the EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA).
We know where to look, and what to look for. We pinpoint the moisture content in the underlying substrate. We provide a detailed inspection report including photos, infrared imaging, moisture mapping, and remediation recommendations.
Our Stucco Inspection Includes:
- A Visual Examination of the condition of the stucco system, exterior sealants, flashings, windows, doors, roof-to-stucco transitions, parapets, gutters, deck-to-building connections, stucco terminations and any penetrations through the stucco system.
- Infrared Thermal Imaging (Interior & Exterior)
- Electronic Surface Moisture Scanning
- Invasive Moisture Testing of the Structure (we test the moisture levels of the building framing behind the stucco cladding system)
- Substrate Firmness Testing (test probe sites are also measured with the SRT or Hammer Probe to determine the condition of the substrate)

- General Building Leak Detection and Reporting
